Khaleesi (WC Ranch Mother of Dragons) and Catone (Catone Dell’Antico Tratturo) welcomed a beautiful litter of Maremma puppies on June 30, 2026! These puppies will be ready to go to their new homes in September 2026. Catone, our exceptional sire, was imported directly from Italy and brings outstanding Italian Maremma genetics to our breeding program. Both Khaleesi and Catone are MSCA-registered Maremma Sheepdogs, and Catone is also registered with ENCI and FCI.

Both parents have completed OFA hip and elbow evaluations with good results and have earned their CHIC Certification. Their pedigrees, health certifications, and registration information can be viewed on our website: https://mistypondalpaca.com/maremma-sheepdogs-2/ At Misty Pond, our puppies are raised alongside our alpacas, chickens, ducks, and barn cats. They remain with their mother in the pasture, where they begin learning the instincts and behaviors that make Maremmas exceptional livestock guardian dogs. They are also well socialized with people of all ages—from young children to adults—as well as other dogs.

To give each puppy the best possible start, we incorporate Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI). These proven early-development programs help enhance a working dog’s confidence, adaptability, and sensory development. Learn more about ENS here: https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/dog-breeding/breeder-puppy-socialization-early-neurological-stimulation/

We are passionate about matching each puppy with the right family and farm. Whether you’re looking for a dependable livestock guardian or want to learn more about the Maremma breed, we’d love to visit with you and help determine if one of our puppies is the right fit.

Reservations are now being accepted for this litter. Contact us today for more information or to reserve your puppy!
